Recipe: Homemade Sloppy Joes

In keeping with the tradition of comfort food, I set out to make sloppy joe's from scratch. Even without the can, these are surprisingly simple and just as delicious as I remember.


I followed Pioneer Woman's recipe, with the following modifications:
  • Used pretzel rolls instead of Kaiser rolls (trust me, SO good)
  • Didn't add Worcestershire
  • Replaced the green bell pepper with red

  1. That is a great looking sloppy joe! I have only ever had sloppy joes a couple of times at a friends house, but they weren't that great. Yours looks tasty!
