Quick post today, but I wanted to follow up on my 25 by 25 challenge. To refresh your memory, I set a goal to lose 25 pounds by the time I turn 25 on April 29th. Since January 21st, I've lost a total of 7.6 pounds and 10.5 inches! I'm pretty proud of myself. I also realize that setting my goal at 25 pounds was unrealistic. Not because I can't do it, but because I imagine my ideal number requires less weight lost. Too bad, because it sounds cool. ;) While I'm doing cardio about four times per week, I'm also doing strength training two days per week. Since muscle is denser than fat, my ideal weight has increased slightly (this is why many physically fit people have supposedly high BMIs).
I'm really loving that I can see results. I know I risk sounding like an infomercial when I say this, but my clothes fit better and I feel great too. =) True story. Post about my exercise routine to come!
Do you have a weight loss success story? Or are you on that journey right now? Do you need motivation to start?
